COVID-19 Precautions at Carmel-Sutton UMC
COVID-19 Precautions at Carmel-Sutton UMC
At Carmel-Sutton, we are doing our part to ensure our congregation is able to enjoy worship services utilizing all of the current CDC Guidelines. Below are some of the ways we are working together to slow the spread.
Hand Sanitizer / Regular Cleaning
Hand Sanitizer / Regular Cleaning
Hand sanitizer is located throughout the church to ensure anyone desiring to have clean hands have access at all times. A designated cleaning team is ready to wipe down all surfaces, including restrooms, after individuals utilize the facilities.
Contactless Greeting / Temperature Check
Contactless Greeting / Temperature Check
A designated greeting team meets individuals at the main door to the church to open doors and reduce number of surfaces that visitors must touch. Each person who enters the church building will be required to have their temperature check with a contactless forehead thermometer.
Tithes and Offering
Tithes and Offering
The tithing and offering opportunities have been altered to minimize contact with offering plates. Plates remain at all exit doors to collect any tithes people wish to contribute.
Social Distancing
Social Distancing
The mask has become the new norm. We ask all visitors and members of the congregation to wear masks, if possible, to reduce the spread.
In addition, we are practicing social distancing by limiting the number of visitors and congregation members in our sanctuary to 75 people. Seats are grouped by family units and spread 6-feet apart from other clusters. We also offer the ability to watch the service, via live stream, in our Fellowship Hall, where even more distancing can take place.
Don't want to enter the building? We currently utilize a radio transmitter to push audio sources to vehicles in the parking lot on 89.3 FM.
Lastly, services can be viewed on Facebook Live and messages are posted to this site shortly after the weekly service has concluded.
We have resumed in person classes.
Sunday School starts at 9:45am. We have classes for lower elementary, upper elementary, adult and senior adult classes. We ask that everyone that plans to attend please be prepared to observe all the safety guidelines; temperature check, wearing masks and distancing from others.
We will still continue to NOT offer the Nursery Sunday School Class or Nursery during our Worship Service.
Jr. Church is available during out normal worship service.
